At the close of nominations on Friday 6th December, the Returning Officer, Dr Patrick O’Leary, Registrar of NUI, declared the following candidates to be properly nominated to contest the Seanad Éireann Election in the NUI constituency. See list of candidates below.

Of course it being the Seanad elections I can't find enough information on most of the other candidates.

One looked promising as a social science researcher looking at prison reform but someone of same name gave a lecture to the Irish priests association about how sad they were after CSA reports..

This leaves me with two people who I can solidly give a vote to - Alice-Mary Higgins who has been pretty solid in the Seanad and Eve Dowling who although I'm currently not happy with the Greens was the founder of scientists for yes during repeal.
