You can manufacture a CF in the championship but you can’t at this level imo. DCL was manufactured to play up front and he’ll never score goals on a consistent basis because he doesn’t have the ability to go cold in the box and switch off. But that’s just my opinion
That’s it mate. You can teach a player to lead the line especially an athlete like DCL but he’ll never score goals in the premier league consistently. That’s 4 in 5 for Betto 👌
Sounds harsh but very very true..DCL has good coaching in the past (the best in Ancelotti) and he’s probably done as well as he can but there’s certain things you just cannot teach in players who haven’t started that way.

The club clearly didn’t learn their lesson when they attempted it last time with Anichebe! Scouts got told to go find 6ft plus sprinters whilst kids with amore natural ability but didn’t necessarily have that profile got overlooked
Agreed 👍. Maybe it could have been coached when he was younger. But we turned him into a hold up player and never coached him to finish and be ruthless.
