The waste they are talking about is programs that support poor people, protect our beautiful national parks, keep the grid up and running, and ensure consumer protection.

I’m not even going to touch the daddy thing because it makes my skin crawl.

My father, rest in peace, would never beat me when he came home…. He was a hero, he worked for the government for the last 20 years of his life setting safety standards for household products to make sure children were not harmed.

Probably would have been fired this month.

My sister works for the IRS and does excellent work and she's worried she'll be fired simply because she's a woman. I think my mind is hyperfocusing on the daddy thing to distract me from the other part of my mind screaming: "what is actually happening?"

Fascism is what is happening. When people compare this to WWII they erroneously think of 1940’s Germany, when what they need to be looking at is the early 1930’s when fascism took hold. By the 1940’s it was far too late.

"Self own" implies they could even understand how cringe and weird this is. I don't think they do it ever could, and that fascinates me. This is the weirdest cult, and that's coming from a dude who eats the flesh and blood of the son of the God he worships.
