I am a fan of Chennedy’s game, but she did not excel at 3-point shooting, which the Sky need. Stats below. Also, Tspoon was not fired because players “were in their feelings.” She was not the coach to get the Sky to championship contention. Period. The rotations were embarrassing.

I never said that she excelled at 3 point shooting. She is arguably the best mid-range shooter in the league. While she was on the court, the Sky had tremendous spacing for Reese and Cardoso to operate. Carter also got shooters open 3 pointers by her ability to drive and dish.

So Chennedy Carter may not be your cup of tea. But she is on the short list of best players in the league. Player Efficiency, defensive net rating and W.A.R (wins above replacement) are stats she ranks near the top of the league. The Sky must bring her back with a big bag.

She shot a contested shot which bricked the rim. Cardoso waves her hand in disgust and heads back down the court. Without Carter, the guards struggle to feed the post. With no spacing, team sagged the paint and made Cardoso and Angel shoot over double teams. When Reese broke her wrist. Case closed.

Basketball decisions made by non-basketball ppl in charge are why this off-season is rank with indecision and confusion. They let Diamond DeShields walk. They didn't re-sign Isabelle Harrison and let her leave for nothing back. They kept Dana Evans who went against TSpoon's game plan all last year.

These are facts. When Carter came back healthy, the Sky won two consecutive games by +15 margin and scored 92 points twice. Carter averaged 15, 7 and 7 assists with 2 steals in both wins as a PG. If that means I'm delusional, then have me committed.

There was a game in which Chennedy sat out sick. Dana had the ball on the wing. The play was to feed the post to Kamilla so the defender would move from the rim. It was a set to get an open shooter. However, Evans didn't pass the ball. She even waved off a Cardoso screen and drove 1 on 2.

Without Carter on the floor, the Sky went 0-9. Before she got her severe flu, Chicago was in playoff mode as a 6th seed trailing the 5th seed Fever. They had just beat the Aces (back to back champs) in Vegas and Chennedy scored 34 points. Illness and injuries to Reese tanked the season.

Explain then why she ended the season averaging close to 50% overall shooting from the floor? Like i posted earlier, she isn't an excellent 3 point shooter. But she is arguably has the best mid-range shot in the league. All the shots you're referring to are 3 point areas.
