I’m really lucky my case worker for workers comp immediately picked up the phone so she could tell the Ortho “YES, the left foot is on the claim, YES you can treat it.”
I got an aircast and a fresh xray so my main injury is actually (probably!) properly documented now.

If any of you get hurt at work, please know:
1) Nobody is going to inform you of enough.
2) Find out what your coverage is AND who accepts it now, before you’re hurt!
3) Be ready to self-advocate against grifting policies like “visit every 3 days while we delay your referral.”
I’m grateful workers comp exists at all.
But existing under a system of “healthcare as business” means we have to navigate a lot of hurdles to get proper & timely care.
I know healthcare and insurance in general are So Very Bad because Capitalism, but DAMN.
Broken foot sounds inconvenient and uncomfortable as all getout
Thank you!
