Certainly we can appreciate the research that went into both SpaceX and Tesla. I will not however, give him the credit. He is just a tycoon who used his money to claim the company after others started doing the research, now he is "claiming it". I won't buy from Tesla because I won't give Musk $$

When Musk invested in Tesla, the company had three employees, in a single room office. They had no manufacturing (a third party made one demo kit-car for them). They didn't have the rights to the name 'Tesla'.

So he did much more than just claim the company. Still, the company no longer needs him.

His ownership and even his name attached degrades the integrity of Nasa. His personal character aside, having everything blowing up non stop isn't much of an endorsement either. He should just be a silent partner so people might actually take efforts to beat China in space seriously 😳 😐

The integrity of NASA? The entire US space program that got us to the Moon was under the auspices of a Nazi and SS officer with a private concentration camp that killed 20,000.

Starship is a development program; blowing up rockets is a normal part of the process.

The way I look at it is that Musk is a replaceable part. In fact, he's spending more time in government (DOGE) now than he is in any of his 6 companies. Our neo-Nazi government will be tainting anything it touches. There's a good chance he'll end up bled dry of his cash and deported by Trump. 🤷‍♂️

When Musk invested, Tesla was a 3-person company in a 1-room office that didn't have any manufacturing. They hired a company to build a kit car for them as a demo. They didn't even have the rights to the name, 'Tesla'.

Not your fault. One of the original three (Martin Eberhard ) lied about Tesla's manufacturing to get Musk to invest. When Musk found out and presented the information to the other two, Eberhard was ousted and replaced by Musk as founder.

Eberhard has been spreading disinformation ever since.

Understood. However, I still believe my observation about the nature of oligarchs in general still stands. Perhaps in the past Musk may have been a bit of a visionary, but like many in our times, the lure of power that the MAGA movement offered was too much for him to resist.
