I have lived in Lexington County, collectively, about 40 years. In the last 15 years, there have been very few even running for any local offices. Sometimes, not even state level offices. The party doesn't spend money here, apparently.

Russell Ott ran and won for Senate there last year! And Jerry Govan is in the house. Looks like you have some Democrats in your County council too. It does seem like most of the Democrats in the midlands are in Richland Co, though.

I must have missed the pushback. Personally, I am too busy working a night shift, desperately trying to hold onto my spot in the middle class to run for office.
I appreciate your optimism, but I will be abandoning this place. Like the DNC did.

I understand, but hope you reconsider. We will never change this state if all the good folks abandon it. I know change is painfully slow.

That said, ultimately we all should absolutely do what is right for ourselves & our families.

I'm stuck here, so I'll keep fighting. 💙
