watching an interview with a French psychiatrist about ADHD because I'd like my mum to learn about it as I suspect she has it as well but worried it'll be too long and dry for her to actually watch til the end and, well

You would think that someone talking about adhd would at least recognize that their target audience probably isn’t paying attention after 30 seconds…or they’ve watched 10 hours of videos on the topic in a row and they need to keep it interesting to not be skipped.
That made me think of something...do boomers and gen Xers have an equivalent of attention-grapping things like subway surfers? I remember my mom sewing/modelling clay while watching long dramas but I don't know if that would work on your mom
Also I don’t think it’s a huge coincidence that the explosion in adhd diagnoses have gone along with a massive drop in the rates of smoking cigarettes.
I remember reading about a group in Glasgow years ago that helped women stop smoking by teaching them to knit and crochet. I have to knit when I watch tv. Has to be plain knitting if there are subtitles, so I can keep my eyes on the screen
Was asked what media I prefer today and I realised halfway through my answer that all my choices were to do with my ADHD and then had to ask what the question was again because I’d forgotten 🤦🏽♀️
