on AI - I'm obv v anti news orgs using it but a lot of those places will have a bunch of people whose entire job it is to eg read Mirror/Mail copy and rewrite what they published using different enough words that it's not plagiarism - I did it for a few months ages ago - so is it that big a jump?

FWIW back when I was a clickbait monkey at [redacted news org] we had to file seven stories a day each, meaning that we were actively encouraged not to ever make any calls, and when I'd question stories that seemed dodgy they'd just reassign them to someone else instead, it's an industry problem
