Ok ...so science / scientific research is taking a pounding right now and we are shouting to be heard.
But how is it that we have still not got ourselves to a point where our worth is more embedded in society.

But by the time they grow up, it seems to be OK to think science is a nice 'optional' thing.
Partly why i feel bad doing school outreach - yet another white male bespectled role model of a scientist.
We need more like Jess Wade, @fryrsquared.bsky.social , et al
Science is so much more exciting than being able to list a set of equations.
Yes, the eqns are important but if you cant relate them to the reality of peoples' lives then why ? Dont just teach them for their own sake
