That’s true. But while they are technically incorrect “Server Components are meant to be integrated together with SSR, and they will be in a future release”

Maybe that’s unfortunate phrasing. Everything we do is meant to integrate into SSR of you want it.

Even for RSC enabled frameworks that use SSR, SSR is only for the initial page load. From then on it works like a SPA does, loading RSCs from the server without SSR.

Right. I think the “separate (but complementary) technology” phrasing holds the most value. I think a lot of confusion might stem from SSR being the only thing what react did server-side previously, so SSR and server-side React have been terms that could be used interchangeably.

True, but while SSG is server side from reacts point of view it doesn’t mean running the very same server on the machine providing the app. So the misunderstandings pile up around the term “server” as well as SSR often being used as an umbrella term for SSG/ISR/SSR

This is what people don’t get when they crap on RSCs. RSCs stream in content like an SPA fetches content from a server. They just stream in a lot more than JSON so the client has to do less work…

I only have one complaint about RSCs. It's that I think I'm too dumb for them. Kinda like I'm too dumb for Haskell.
