Even if I wanted to get a Nintendo Switch 2 ... I simply cannot afford $80 for a standard edition of a digital copy of a game.

It wouldn't be so bad if they ever dropped their prices, but they're still charging full price for Switch launch titles.
The only reason I would want one would be for the inevitable deeply discounted third party games.
