Canada is - for Ukraine. The UK will not be - for Canada, if the worst occurs. Canada stands up for allies. We do not toss them to Russian or American tanks.

Then we’ll assume Canada is no longer considered an ally because there is absolutely no indication that the UK will support Canada if we are invaded by America.
Kara, he will support Canada and is already doing so in the best way he can while he is navigating the delicate situation with Trump. The Lib Dems are great but it is always easier to speak out on matters when in opposition, as Labour themselves are now finding out.
It's the UK that is leading on making sure Ukraine gets a decent peace deal and Starmer, along with Macron, are the main two countries that Trump appears to respect. This is far more immediately important than the Canada situation, I hate to say, as people are getting killed over this everyday.
Come on. The peace process- such as it is - is certainly NOT under Starmer’s sole leadership and muttering that Canada is a sovereign country is not derailing it. I honestly don’t understand why you’re going through such lengths to convince me.
I'm sorry, Kara, but you are now speaking absolute nonsense. Starmer has been unwavering for his support for Ukraine, only strengthening it in the last few weeks by the COTW. The way Starmer welcomed Zelensky days after him being bullied by Trump was obvious as to how he feels about Ukraine.
I’m sorry Mark but it’s you that’s babbling. Nobody is questioning the support of Starmer and the UK - for Ukraine. That’s been rock solid. It is the support of Starmer and the UK for CANADA that is doubtful.
It seems lots of unnecessary guns have been jumped here in this conversation and I sense how rightly passionate you are about your sovereignty however, there are a LOT of sensitive factors at play here atm, and quite sure the UK will have Canada's back in the end for reasons I have explained.
What reasons? And what specifically is the strategy in being so mealy mouth, which many Canadians believe Starmer is being when it comes to vocally supporting Canada’s sovereignty? I’ve no issue with The King — he, correctly, should only speak out on it if and when Canada asks him to, but Starmer 🤔
