Yesterday (last night) #yyccc unanimously approved recommendations on short-term rentals that were directly built off of two years of extensive research conducted by @gillianpetit.bsky.social, Anna Cameron, and myself under a UCalgary Urban Alliance partnership.

The regulations come into effect January 1, 2025 and provide a balanced approach to STR regulation given where the market is and the other policy pressures facing the City of Calgary. There will be, of course, people who think it is too much or not enough, often a sign of such a balanced approach
