Looking into the claim that Gaiman's career-defining Sandman art is derivative, ripped off from Tanith Lee's books without acknowledgment, I found more.

A re-telling of Brothers Grimm iconic fairy tale Snow White, but the twist is she is a vampire, and the Queen not evil, but trying to save the kingdom. What a cool idea, right? I really liked Gaiman's Snow, Glass, Apples from 1994.
But it's not his idea, nor is the execution original.
Tanith Lee wrote it in 1983, and arguably with more interesting nuances and prose, and without implied incestuous sexual violence, in a short story Red as Blood.
