Honestly sounds like you could use like ServiceTitan and not have to roll your own if this is your use case but I understand sometimes the boss is stupidly cheap instead.
Most of my business is equipment rental and labor. There are some commercial options but I’m not huge fans of them. Plus this a fun project to learn a new code language
