I got harassed, attacked, belittled & schooled on ‘egge’ because I noticed your photos are straight downloadable. Pfp, posts… if this is supposed to be like Vent, & as it says: a diary app, then no I don’t feel comfortable with a download option on all media. Vent didn’t have media for a reason.

So what was the thing that triggered ppl to be trolls? They all got mad cuz my pfp was a Snapchat AI of myself. The trolls really struggled to think for 2 seconds that I did that on purpose instead of uploading my very recognizable pfp I use everywhere. No, I don’t need to be schooled on semantics.

@lovxrs.bsky.social is the only young human I’ve heard addressing the weirdness that so many need pfps that are anime, & I agree!!! Everyone on the app, including everyone who attacked me, has pfp‘s of art that’s not theirs, nor is it fashioned off their face (usually). Mine was based off my face

Not only was I attacked by hyenas (like bad Vent users would act like) but you can still see people you’ve blocked. All their posts, bio, comments on posts…

I’ve literally been treated 300x better for months here on Bluesky than I was in my 1st 15 mins on egge.

3 things that don’t make the app ‘egge’ safe as a social, venting & diary app:

1) downloadable media
2) trolls reside there
3) incomplete blocking feature

Not going to comment on your experience of harassment as I can't say anything about that other than that I didn't experience it. But I do find it a little unfair to compare a newly opened app made by two people to an app that had several years in development and is 32 million people large.
