They must be wrapped in foil. It’s the only way they stay hot and crispy. I don’t understand why places continue to use plastic or styrofoam containers for fries. They get soggy!! We all know this! Stop ruining the fries, people!
Takeout is easy: don't fold the bag closed as it will steam the fries, then eat all the fries before you get home. Hot fresh fries during takeout. Easy.
I was at the 2018 Smart Kitchen Summit in Seattle, a guy won $10k in a startup pitch contest with a proprietary takeout box that vented to keep food crispier. Beat out WiFi gadgets, fancy software, etc. Never heard of it again. I assume Big Styrofoam had him killed shortly after.
I had what might’ve been the best fries of my life yesterday at a local place in San Francisco and I just cried to think about those fries not being eaten fresh from the kitchen like I had them.
you lookin for a deep fryer drone or somethin'? when it'll start your fries ~5 minutes from your house? maybe use waste heat to melt a bunch of cheese sauce too? then when it gets to your house it'll deploy and fold a box with some wax paper and dump the fries and cheese?
