I’ve read a few American classics but just the ones I had to read for school (1984, yellow wallpaper, etc). Does anyone have suggestions on some I should check out? 📚💙

I’d recommend The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald—it’s a must-read for understanding the Jazz Age. Also, To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee offers a deep dive into justice and morality. Moby-Dick by Herman Melville is a bit dense but full of layered themes. What do you think?
Sounds like a solid plan! Gatsby is a must-read, and I totally get the struggle with maritime books—Moby Dick is a commitment! Maybe it’ll surprise you, though.
I’ve read that one!! I was overly obsessed with it for too long in middle school lmao. Atticus is still on my name list to use as a middle name for my future kid 🤣
