Seeing discourse about the terribly stupid “roko’s basilisk” (a theory that evil, godlike ai is inevitable) and I do agree that weird techbros have this “well it’s inevitable so I must be the one to do it in the good way” attitude. I also think main character syndrome is a huge part of it
