Is this real? If so, it harks back to the early days of the welfare state when claimants used to be visited in their homes to see how "poor" they actually were. I believe having certain "luxury" items could see your claim for benefits denied.

Thanks for the warning - and for the encouragement to defy the government’s endless requirements for more intrusive private information. Given that the survey’s responses will be tied to PIP scores, it looks more like an exercise in proving that us useless scroungers don’t need so much to live on.

Aside from it being none of their damn business, if a person wants to spend their PIP on pizza and a movie, upgrade their phone, take a holiday, that's literally what it is for! It is money to live some semblance of a normal life with disability.
