No video on the screen despite good raster (external video works though!), and I'm hunting down a parity/ram error with one of my RAM boards.

Battery killed boards are fully rebuilt, modern power supply, recapped video circuit. It's just weird. I'll get back to it when I scrounge up some time.

Ouch, the nicad did fairly bad damage to the board on the Lisa 2/0(or 2/5)- I do have 5 & 10mb profiles. And possibly one working widget, but have to go inside and glue the glass piece that is the head position detector. One of the other widgets had it fall off and scrape up the platter.

New motherboard or repaired battery damage? Both issues could be trace damage there.

Check that video and sync signals are making it from motherboard through cable harness to the analog board.

With the RAM error, does it still boot?

Was the motherboard from Alexthecat? Depending on when you pulled it, there was a silkscreen error for RAM slot 1 and 2 (they’re backwards). Also, I think the parity error has happened to several folks using the original 512k board so it may also be a yet undiscovered issue with the board.

Back in the early '80s, I borrowed a Lisa from a local (Toronto) computer/parts shop to examine it for a review. Unfortunately I didn't get to keep it long enough to properly assess it, but I was impressed by the machine. I was probably using an Atari ST or Kaypro at the time.

If you have a Lisa 2/5, I made a breakout board so you can troubleshoot the card stack outside of the machine with an ATX power supply and RGBtoHDMI to a LCD. Depending on what's wrong, this may help.

Wow, that’s exactly what I’ve got, and what’s more the power supply is what’s suspect. That could be *just* the ticket. There’s no really good way to test the stock power supply and it would be amazing to know whether the rest of it works.
