Yeah. Reminds me of The Crew a lot. These type of games are make or break with the table for sure but I've had a good hit rate and when it hits it really hits.
There's *definitely* a lot more game in The Crew, but our table has had a lot of fun with The Gang. I just don't think we'll be playing it in a year like The Crew.
I'd like the idea of a cooperative Joker draft. Are you smart enough to pass on a Joker that a colleague would absolutely smash it with? Are they smart enough to pick that Joker when it comes to them?
Also Jokers that reference other players' board states. It would be impossible to track
Each player could alternate to make a 10 card hand. Maybe swap cards before rounds and get them back after. Even a shared joker sounds entertaining. One player could even build economy and the other aim for beating the blinds.
There would be a double blind and maybe special cards that work for the 2+ decks that work to defeat it. Or it's a straight up pissing contest and it's just dueling for a higher score

Separate deck of jokers that you bid on or buy after your then from the shop, similar to buying powers from DC Deckbuilders or King of Tokyo?
community river cards
maybe limited rounds of discarding
everyone enters their hand at the same time
has to beat the blind and everyone else
buy stuff in between rounds
