Got lucky when I built my last AR that I had a friend of a friend that was an armorer for Lone Star Armory that was willing to walk me through getting everything dialed in and which spring and buffer to order, so saved me a lot of trial and error.

As a brass scavenger for future reloading, it's really nice that if I stand still, my rifle leaves me a pile of brass in the exact same spot at 4'oclock.
Been a long while since I had to remember specs, but with a standard BCG, I'll bet it cycles fine. H2 is great for everything but rifle length gas tubes, and still even works most of the time there.
For my mid length, I'm running an H2 and a slightly reduced spring rate and its timing is absolutely perfect for M193 or SS109 but it will run steel just fine.
