I understand the sentiment about Luigi. How do people feel about the death penalty and Biden commuting 37 death penalty sentences? Is state-sponsored murder wrong and vigilante murder OK? Is murder=wrong only sometimes? Honest question.

The biggest problem with the death penalty in my opinion is the unacceptable number of wrongful convictions. I also do not believe lethal injection is the most humane way, its just the easiest for spectators to watch.
Goverment killing people is wrong. usually killing is wrong. But if you shoot someone who is actively killing people every day, you saved people. The CEO was prevented from further killing.
People on deathrow have already been caught. Luigi saved people
Luigi's assassination of the UHC CEO didn't *immediately* save lives--not the next day. Will it lead to policy changes in the industry? Maybe, if this action leads to a movement. It still doesn't seem right to me to use assassination to start a grassroots movement.
The problem is bigger than one person. This is how the system works, the CEO maximizes profits in a for-profit company for the shareholders he is beholden to. With Brian Thompson gone, a new CEO will take his place and do the same. Systemic change is required to fix anything here, not murder.
I'd like to add that I'm not saying I agree that Luigi did was the right thing. But policy DID change the next week. All of a sudden 3 different Insurance companies eased up on people. NC company forgave 11,000 peoples medical debt the week after the Claims Adjuster business.
