And yet there's millionaires in the UK actively telling the government that they will pay an extra 2% in tax to cover the shortfalls, but the government chose to ignore that and to attack those with the most to lose instead...

"voluntary contribution" versus consistent taxation are not comparable, a tax of 2% on people with wealth over £10m is proposed, but the government has ignored it, a big pile of cash just waiting to be dug into, but instead robbing peter to pay paul...
A wealth tax of up to 3.5% on assets worth over 3 million Euros, implemented by the Socialist government, only raised 632 million Euros (£500 million) in Spain.
