Journalists in South Asia have been raising the alarm about this for so, so long. Meta etc helped incite genocide in Myanmar, they & Twitter & YouTube helped the ascension of Hindu supremacist mass radicalisation in India ages before tech oligarchs went full mask off for fascism.
