This felt like one of those "you get me going and I'll get you going" promos where they feed off of each other and then none of that ever happened. Bad improv ensues. I was rooting for that promo to turn around too. Just never got there. Bummer.

Yeah Jarrett to me came out worse last night because all those lines that made him sound like a Typical old man get off my lawn out of touch mysogonist. We're seeing cracks on allowing talent too much creative freedom in their promos with those two.

I always butt heads with people over that notion. Some people just don't have the tools to improv on the spot. Other people need to be involved to fill in those skill/awareness gaps to nudge them away from bad ideas. Don't write it for them or nothing. But, write it with them for their own sake IMO.

Being good at promos doesn't mean you're good at improv. That's a specialty that most don't have. It helps, but if you don't have that.. you'll likely need to do prep before hand. That or this was meant to be super edgy and it just did NOT hit at all like they thought it would.

Seems like he's going for a Sting like retirement but as much as I like JJ, he ain't Sting! Also, this makes me appreciate Stone Cold a bit more because he could easily make bank by showing up every now and then, cutting a few promos and getting involved in certain storylines but he chooses not to.

Might be in the minority but I liked MJF saying that he was using Owen's death to stay relevant. But after that, it just kept getting worse. Hah!
