Obama was a major disappointment. He promised change and just delivered more on neoliberalism. At every turn, he bailed out big business and let us little people get screwed & become poorer & more desperate. He just did it without all the drama and chaos.
Republicans have been obstructionists for a very long time. Started with Gingrich in the 90s. Dems, like Obama, caved to the obstruction rather than fight back against it. That was a choice. A choice to favor protection of business over people. So much for free market.
I know people love Obama. That's fine. I'm just not one who supports neoliberalism which puts the well being of business ahead of workers. For some of his presidency, he did have the House & Senate. FDR & LBJ were problematic people, but they fought for policy that helped people.
FDR welcomed the hatred and hostility of big business. LBJ stood up to the Segregationists in his own party. Obama just didn't fight for the little man. Not really.
Obama is chomping at the bit. Clinton one time indicated two terms was probably enough. It is rather arbitrary. If Obama runs against Trump in 28’ he will destroy him. Trump doesn’t want that heat. Question is if u start breaking down structural aspects of the USA where does it end? So u dont
And I miss Biden as much. Biden was a great president and is an exceptional person. It really leaves a bitter taste in my mouth when people are ignorantly disrespectful of President Biden.
Parties suck.Parties are not answerable to the common person. Obama was no hero or god. In fact, after running a great organized online communications network he immediately shut it down when he got into his White House office and shut the door on us. ⬇️
No more input was desired from outside his bubble once he won. Then, he did as Trump and decided Ukraine was not in our national interest in 2014 thus leading us to... Trump
However, I am extremely grateful to him all the same for healthcare that I was unable to obtain before the law was changed. Make sure to get all of your important surgeries done before they cut all medical insurance
