Russ Vought devised these illegal holds on funding for disaster relief, medical research, student aid, child care, nutrition, and foreign assistance, as well as purges of the federal workforce.

If confirmed as OMB Director he’ll keep this up for four years.

The Senate should reject his nomination.

It lays to bare the futility of calling our senators for what we want. An effective strategy would have been appointing someone to run oversight who would actually do the job instead the people were ignored, and the best you’ve got to offer is give your rep a call so they can ignore you.

It's not appointed, it's elected, and had she won the election all of this would still be happening and people contacting their senators would still be a far more effective and important way to respond to it than taking to social media to abuse people who agree with you

It would be happening with someone in a position of power willing to fight. AOC would have been out in the media leading the fight, trying to fight, instead we get continued dereliction of duty by the Dem leaders. The people elected with the power to do something are doing nothing.

I'm not as au fait with the American system as the UK one, but in the UK - lots of emails generated from forms like that go into MP's spam folders, because so many are generated. Calling is more immediate and human - if you can, please do call! If not, email from your own account.
