Work on art, soak yourself in a warm bath, buy tasty food, binge an entire series...
Anything that will keep you busy and your attention away from the sad thing tbh, although it may not always work
It's okay to just let the sadge hang around, soak in it for a bit cause you really can't force it out like a Thanos snap that easy. Lay in bed then take a short nap. Eating / Cooking could help, even if its a simple PB&J. A walk outside is good too and watch comfy anime that you love.
i'd do exactly what you'd do to a crying baby:
1. eat the yummy food/calming drink
2. get some love/attention
3. shower get sparklin clean
4. have a good nappy
Something I can control? Think it out. Follow through until I figure out what it is I can do.
Something I can't? Move it out. Play some energetic music and hop around for a bit like a rabbit on caffeine! If you have an exercise routine, that can help too!
Play or watch someone else play some of my comfort games, if the weather is particularly nice I like to just sit outside and feed birds on my own. It sounds lonely but its actually very calming and helps me put things in perspective
In my darkest hours Yuru Camp (Laid back camp) usually helps.
Some anime you dearly love and is super chill or funny... or both. Get something good in your head.
