A measles outbreak in Seminole, Texas, has grown to 159 cases, spreading quickly in a town where the kindergarten vaccination rate is just 82%.

This isn’t the first major surge. In 2019, the U.S. saw over 1,200 cases, part of a pattern of periodic outbreaks since 2000.
