After years and years of Disney pulling the "first gay" character bullshit, of they shelving series because they get "too gay", for directly cutting trans stories, we should be done expecting anything more from them

You’re right. This is frustrating. I’m hoping for a change in the animation industry where will get more shows like The Owl House, Moon Girl and other stories with LGBT characters and of course animators need their work to get protected from AI. I just can’t lose hope when things get bad.

Every single time they do the "first gay character" it's meaningless

It's always some background shit that's under 20 seconds that can easily be cut
This shit is why Netflix got Nimona (a huge win because that movie deserved to be exactly as gay as it was)

Disney never make anything truly progressive. It's always small scenes that can be removed in non-english speaking countries for the sake of doing rainbow capitalism only where it's profitable.
