I've made my thoughts about Disney's refusal to demonstrate real acceptance of queer people, especially trans people, as a company clear
To them we don't deserve public representation, we're something that can be erased at will
Stop expecting them to do better until they actually do better

At what point are trans people allowed to exist in the narrative? At what point are LGBT+ people allowed to tell our stories without worry of censorship or removal?

Support indie artists
Hear their stories
Pay them to do what Disney won't
It's not the executives making the art, and the artists are still wonderful
It's the executives making shitty decisions
Support the art, flip off the executives calling the shots
Focus on the amazing folks who want their stories to be told, on what they are making and the joy they spread
Sometimes you just need to go outside the usual media spheres to do it
Get the comics or books, support the writers & animaters other ways
We want art to thrive
Starting to think art should not be in the hands of MBA Merchant brains
They used it to score easy headlines, then as a handy excuse when people got bored of oversaturated franchises
It's always some background shit that's under 20 seconds that can easily be cut
This shit is why Netflix got Nimona (a huge win because that movie deserved to be exactly as gay as it was)
My full thoughts are far too elaborate to be restricted to this medium
I'd say "assholes" a lot more, that's for sure
