I was on reddit earlier and someone asked how a game like Noblesse Oblige can have +500k words (actually about 750k XD) when the entire LotR trilogy is only 500k words. I thought the answer was interesting and worth sharing.

I love games, and their ability to distribute that writing, making it seem so much lighter than a "big novel" is amazing.
I love books.
Video game storytelling gives such a wide breadth for writing to be presented.
Although I think that's a good thing. We can maybe learn a thing or two about translating from the book/novel world!
I'm still learning the language myself, but it's incredible the nuances and details from one language to the next!
