Yeah this game looks incredibly good. I'm taking it in small doses 'cuz I know it's gonna be a while before I see anything that perks my interest in the same way for a while.
I wouldn't say it's a deal breaker by any means there's still plenty to enjoy but the populated areas just feel eery. Imo, it was a strange decision for them to approach it in this way considering what we know can be achieved nowadays.
Exploring is great! plenty to find and see. It's gorgeous!
Would agree. I can't vouch for sword/shield yet because I've been using bow/arrow and wand/grimoire but I've really enjoyed both so far. Combat feels smooth too. However, enemies constantly dive at you so you have to be really quick with your movements and mindful of stamina moreso than other games!
Ohhhhh yes so many pretty places indeed. I've been in for 5 hours. I haven't even left Dawnshore yet π just so beautiful. As long as we watch out for the dangers like the crooked xaurips and bears, we good haha. Long live the Living Lands! #Avowed

Iβm playing through FireStick and you wouldnβt tell the difference (to my old eyes).
I only wish I could capture screenshots though cloud gaming!
It's a bit of a faff even on xbox with no photomode! Have to go to menu and turn everything off each time! π€£
damn that's cool.
What's the core gameplay like?
Combat is def a highlight for me even around 10 hours in. I think movement can be a bit janky at times especially when climbing but it's not terrible.
My main criticism so far is the NPCs are a bit lifeless, usually idgaf but in this it's quite noticeable!
Do you reckon they'll work on the NPC's with time or is this it?
And.. is it a dealbreaker?
Because as someone that loves to just EXPLORE, those screenies <3

In a good way (I think)
Looks quite Bethesda inspired.
