NTSB data says there's an expected crash every other day.

2025 (as of 2025-05-17): 48 fatal aviation crashes - 159 people killed
2024: 179 fatal aviation crashes - 306 people killed
2023: 197 fatal aviation crashes - 310 people killed

Quick Google search seems to verify what you're saying. 99% of crashes don't make the news then, or only locally. So, we're good. Multiple plane crashes a day is totally normal and fine. Trump, Elon and Duffy are doing a helluva job and Newark is aviation Paradise. Sorry I misunderstood.

Freely admit that looking for small plane crashes not reported in my daily news sources (WaPo, Richmond VA Times-Dispatch, MSNBC) isn't something I've ever done. Now they are appearing where I look for news. The change is not me, it's the reporting. Could they be trying to make Trump look bad?
