Realistically stylized. I like normal proportions that feel comfy, but I love the creativity and pushing of boundaries that can be utilized in the 3d space :3

I love a more realistic body size/type. Most avis I find are overly exaggerated in size regardless of overly thin or thick. I want something in-between. That's more realistic in size to me. I definitely see my model as an extension of myself and want my avi to match me and my personality

Fair, realism is relative and far less applicable the less human you get. My original thought came from seeing rhe lapdance scene, where dancers are praised for their bodies (and dancing ofc but the main focus is the body) specifically. The ability to be who you want to is a double edged sword to me

I lean way more towards realistically proportioned, but with the specific added caveat of flatter, more cartoony shading.

It probably boils down to a hardware thing. The more detailed shading and textures more common in western models, compared to clearly anime-styled ones, tend to alias pretty hard on lower resolution headsets. Ends up being more grainy and hard on the eyes for my Questie ass, rather than eyecandy.

I think it's also style. I like the face I use, which is somewhere between anime and realism, but I tend to favor less detailed skin textures and more stylized hair. It's interesting to see where ppl land on the detail spectrum

Its a complicated discussion. It feels like in some circle's there's an arms race to make everything as hypersexualized as possible. The commodification of sexuality is rampant in this platform. I like authenticity, and that comes down to more than just the design of the avi, it's how you use it.

I see this in the lapdance and some rave scenes 100%. I think once the avi's body starts to become your identity it can be very damaging for your body Image irl. I'm sure some ppl don't have an issue with it, but there's def a population that purely escapes into vr like this

in my case my avatars have all been designed to look similar to how I look IRL, and it definitely adds a sense of vulnerability to everything I do in VR, but also makes me feel more powerful

I'm getting there bit by bit, next sculpt of my personal is much closer to me. Starting to dance IRL again is giving me more confidence to make my avi more 1 to 1. The pressure to conform in lap clubs is strong tho, some people are super desensitized to pretty wild proportions.

also when I say "authenticity" in an avatar I don't mean it has to look like you or even be realistic in its design, it just has to be true to one's personality and soul, maybe custom designed or just an avi that really works well on someone

I'm the same way, though I'm not 1 to 1 atm. Slowly working my way there, my next base update for myself is closer to me than ever and I'm super excited for it.
