This is one of the many reasons I hate Labour. They are at this point Tories (light).

There are so many places they could create tax revenue other than cuts & targeting the vulnerable. But the vulnerable are an easy target that they can ignore.

My wife and I vote the same way.

I'm still hoping we see an independent Scotland in the next 10 years, as it feels like politically and morally we are (as a country) moving further away from the rest of the UK.

I'm pretty sure even Scots, who are unsure about independence, would still call themselves Scottish, not British.

I'm of the opinion once a certain number of boomers die off, we'll get independence as people under 45 overwhelmingly support independence & it's a pretty even split with those 45-65...

It cannot. You cannot make tax laws that apply to other countries. Not "loopholes" - international law. Small countries with lax tax regimes will NEVER comply. Why should they when most of their income is from " hot" money ?
