As someone who once worked for Congressman Walz, he is truly one in a million. He’s stayed consistent to his values and acts in the interest of his constituents as best he can. Truly blessed to call him Governor for at least 2 more years.
I was just bemoaning this on Friday. As the most powerful men in America push a version of masculinity that is based on bullying and grievances, we could have had Tim Walz.
As someone who's now following US politics deeply, I found it really bizarre that Walz was told by his party to stop calling Republicans "weird" as it hurt their feelings. Is this actually a school, or something?
If they’re strategy for the debate wasn’t “be polite to the fascist” and instead of “Tim, you get one f-bomb, two if you find a really good place for it” we might be in a very different situation right now
The DNC likes to think that decorum and manners are the highest priority. Think Chuck from Better Call Saul, rambling about how “the rule of law is sacred,” except instead of it being part of a rant about his brother shitting in a car, he’s letting Mussolini into power without resistance
