Since The Savage Sword of Conan #8 is fast approaching, I have decided to show my complete spread from the later #11 story to hopefully get you in the mood! I've produced a color version of this which will be available at cons as a print too. π

Thank you! We're actually not allowed to sell prints online. The publishers are great as far as cons go, as they know we need to make a living, but online it's like pinching the license from them for art they paid for. Sorry!
Without doubt, this is the most ambitious spread I ever attempted! So proud of it. Lots of easter eggs here, but I like Conan casually eating an apple while regarding these wonders. :-)
You weren't exaggerating about it. What an incredible piece of work, this page is utterly sumptuous. It feels like a visual poem in which I imagine captions to pace movements. You may still struggle to find your own Conan but, if this means anything, yours will certainly be my first Conan's read.
I am 50% "I love you" and 50% "F you" And I mean that in the best way possible because this is just so damn GOOD! I think you saw this already but the dungeon page scene intro I did for my book took me FOREVER. And then you just show up saying "Let me do two pages of that." I seriously love it.
It's more a want than an obsession. It's not easy for me to do by any means, but it's just what pleases me visually. It's also becoming what I'm known for, so I'm somewhat trapped by the expectation now...
Whenever the band played that we'd get groans for about a minute, and then everybody would love it. By then the reputation of it being overplayed was not the reality any more, and people we just reminded why it got overplayed in the first place - because it's a masterpiece. :-)

Is there any chance you'd sell prints online too? I don't make it to cons much these days sadly, but that is amazing.
Well if you happen to be doing any UK cons I'll try and head to them!
Too bad I wonβt manage to catch at any of thoseβ¦
Erm, ...By Crom!
My desire is simplicity, but creative insecurity serves up detail whenever I grab a pencil.
By the way, would you mind playing Stairway to Heaven, again?
