Doctor Who is like the one thing I'm a devoted fan of that the internet doesn't have a vitriolic hatred towards, and I think that's just because it's mostly unknown to Americans.

Pretty much. I'm a Doctor Who fan who is neither British nor American and I just spent several years listening to Doctor Who fans not shutting the fuck up with hating on Doctor Who (frequently, deservedly) for ages lmao
