I've been meaning to get around to this, but from what I've seen, there's a possibility they might be remastering it from some activity on their IPs.

I have the GameCube re-release, but honestly I'd probably just play it on Dolphin.
Studios tend to botch JRPG re-releases these days (See: Symphonia)

Enjoy! I remember this game being the talk of the friend group in my highschool days. After one friend beat it, another friend would borrow it. So it stayed relevant for MONTHS.
