In terms of messaging, "Billionaires who bought the presidency want to cut benefits you paid for and take your money" isn't exactly a complicated one to sell, unless you are somehow also beholden to those billionaires.

Let’s ratchet up the fear and resentment- it works for them, right- from, ‘want to cut benefits you paid for and take your money’ to slash your benefits and steal your money. The Fox Chiron is always @ defcon 5
And there you have that one simple trick of neoliberalism that has held back policy progress for over 40 years while guaranteeing that the concentration of capital of donors they share and serve would get to the point of demanding complete control.
If Republicans can win elections by campaigning on the rather dubious premise that undocumented immigrants are ruining America then surely Democrats can flip the script and campaign on the rather reasonable premise that billionaires and crony capitalism are ruining America 🇺🇸
If you're speaking of our so-called free press, they're not "beholden" to the billionaires. They are owned by the billionaires. They are the voices of the billionaires. Every word published by any national media is pre-approved by a billionaire or board of billionaires.
Doing so may put those Billionaires in the EXACT same position as some other not so positive positions of recent leaders. There is a LOT of crazy out there and stealing peoples benefits could permanently unlock that Pandora’s Box forever!
100% this. I keep thinking that meaningful activism this time has to include large scale boycotts. Making calls to the corporate lackeys in the House and Senate is insufficient.
In terms of media blowback, the truth is it’s a lot safer to blame millions of migrants for America’s problems than a dozen rich weirdos. Owning the media helps.
Taxpayers in SV voted 2 give tax breaks 4 what remained after the dot com bust, scared workers voted 4 technological industries 2 build here, our mistake was not getting OUR VOTING interest back @ that time which was jobs but they went 2 poor countries like China & India that had invested in STEM
