I did a usability test for my #MVP with my father. He was happy because he said no one is building products with people over 60 in mind. They don't care if older people figure them out or not.
Do you agree? Is it true or do older people just tend to feel left behind?

Not even today.
And 20 years later when we become old as well, no one cares or builds for us as well 😄
This means most of the purchasing power will belong to the elderly so we'll have to design products for them!
Counterpoint is old people have more money but tend to spend wisely, whereas youngsters spend more carelessly
I had to remind him that branding and style also change across generations.
It just depends on the target market... some customers love easy to press big buttons with lots of white space.
Other customers and spaces need information density and complain when padding: 2px instead of 1px.
They don't understand
- Few things can be dynamic
- Few things need multiple screen flows
- Few things need switching between the apps dynamically.
I think so too. Most people I know at this age have trouble using any software or modern devices. And there's surely a big market here that's even growing.
