#otd 1857 Elizabeth Gaskell submitted the manuscript of The Life Of Charlotte Bronte to publisher George Smith. Gaskell was a close friend of Charlotte Bronte and a fellow genius of a writer. Her biography will never be surpassed, though some still try to belittle it.
