When people get to talking about movies I invariably mention that I think Constantine is one of the best made movies. It nails every single note of mood & feel and look. The casting is unbelievably impeccable. Then they laugh & I make them promise to watch it.

I have a 100% skeptic to convert rate.

It's one of the very few movies I've watched more than once. Great atmosphere, art direction, and casting. Does it have its share of flaws... yeah, sure. But that's also because, unlike today's blockbusters, it wasn't sanded down into a perfectly smooth, uninteresting sphere
