It’s likely to come down to a deal with Trump/US or getting much closer to the EU or rejoining CU and SM. The deal that the US is likely to offer especially on food and other sectors plus pulling further away from EU, will not go down well with voters. Another big showdown in 2026/27 methinks.

We haven't applied as neither the last government or this one has dared. There would probably have to be another "advisory" referendum too. KS has pissed off a lot of pensioners. Given they were influential last time, it's not the right time?

Because we don't get to have our cake and eat it. Buyer's remorse gets us nowhere. And the EU wouldn't allow it anyway.

It isn't happening for a LONG time so best to work incrementally towards a better relationship with the EU.
