14 years of Tory mis-management and BREXIT created the multi £BILLIONS black hole in the economy that Labour is now attempting to fix.
By all accounts, most farmers are Tory and probably voted for Brexit.
Own Goal?
Has this country been driven into a hole partly because of corporate greed and the protection of inherited wealth. Both are barriers to growth and both increase the inequality in this country.
Let the owners of a £4M farm leave it to his/her children incurring £200k IHT or, alternatively, they can sell up, buy a house, live off the interest of the remainder and leave the entire estate to their kids safe in the knowledge that the IHT it will incur will be £1.2M
The one in the flag jacket is married to a “farmer” He grows weed that he sells to other countries but not here because weed is bad and has no medical properties whatsoever according to the one in the flag jacket
Of all the legitimate wrongs in society. Genocide in Gaza, child poverty, to name but two. If these lot are backing this cause. I'm out.
Nice little tax haven
Surprised and disappointed to see @eddavey get involved in this. Poorly briefed? You would have thought that siding with Dyson and Clarkson would have been a warning sign.
Point being?
Point to note: you may wish to watch the BBC Victoria Derbyshire-Clarkson interview on day of #FarmersProtest Victoria got her ass handed to her by Clarkson.
Fact you are out of depth and talking out of one's backside.
I prefer to read facts from verified sources, not agenda driven 💩 media, try it, I'll improve one's mental instability.
can anyone explain to me why people do this I can never understand it. especially the people that intentionally never read any major/popular/cited sources and only read obscure ones (usually the ones that follow their opinion)

Nice little tax haven
I'm generally pro LibDems but on this they're way off.
Just why do "farmers" deserve special treatment with respect of Inheritance Tax compared to everyone else?

Like the fact that no farmer will be forced to pay IHT. Unless they choose to.
Plenty of ways to plan for IHT, all legal and all more moral. Taper relief, trusts, gifts.....
It just means spending a few hours away from the pub.

I'm happy to debate if what they said in the report isn't accurate, they saw the tax dodge 9 years ago.
What do you have to object to that?
Criticising data because you don't like the source isn't really very enlightening.
