The difference between now and the 1970's is that when you paid for things in the 1970's almost all of that money went back on wages or Public Services Now as much money as possible is stolen to tax havens so all that extra money you pay doesn't improve wages or services one bit - ThreadSky

Consultancy firm >> donation to politicians
Politicians >> instruction to civil service
Civil service >> award contract to consultants
State dept >> pay budget to consultants

Apparently in the 70’s, 45%of the wealth generated went to wages and 55% to profits and shareholders. It’s now 35%\65%. That’s £220 billion taken from workers every year. I was told this by a union official so I have no reason not to believe it.
