Tax cuts. Prior to Reagan,, even sooner, the monied class got tax deductions from reinvestment. In modernization, innovation, workforce and philanthropy. Once the tax cuts started, the only incentive was greed.

They give to their own "charities" eg The Musk Foundation. Tax breaks plus a piggy back the can dip whenever they like. Charities like these are the corporate arms of wealthy individuals
